Ireland's Katie Taylor sees off the challenge of France's Estelle Mossely in the women's lightweight final at the European Games.

Ireland's Katie Taylor has won gold in the women's lightweight final at the European Games.

Taylor was pushed all the way in her semi-final contest, but the 28-year-old produced a dominant performance to see off France's Estelle Mossely.

The world number one and three shared a competitive first round, but Taylor soon took control of the contest, winning the remaining three rounds to win by unanimous decision.

The win for Taylor earned Ireland their first gold medal of the Games in Baku.

The two bronze medals went to Azerbaijan's Yana Alekseevna and Germany's Tasheena Bugar.
