India's Sumit Sangwan protest overuled

India's protest following Sumit Sangwan's controversial exit from the Olympic light-heavyweight tournament has been overuled.

The 19-year-old lost 15-14 to Yamaguchi Florentino Perez of Brazil in the afternoon session at the ExCel Centre - a decision which has angered sports minister Ajay Maken.

He tweeted: "Sumit Sangwan Bout; Officially the protest is lodged. Let us hope for justice."

However, the result still stands.
