England announce Commonwealth boxing squad

Team England have announced their 11-person boxing squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Eight men and three women will represent England, with Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams headlining the team as women's boxing makes its first appearances at the Games.

"Ever since it was announced that women's boxing was going to be part of the Commonwealth Games I have been really looking forward to this event," said Adams, who won Olympic flyweight gold in London two years ago.

"The Commonwealth's is the only major tournament that I have left to win a medal at so I am really determined to do well and give myself the best possible chance of making history for a second time."
