Sam Maxwell "enjoyed" quarter-final bout

Team England boxer Sam Maxwell has said that he "enjoyed" his quarter-final bout with Manoj Kumar on Tuesday evening.

Light-welterweight Maxwell overcame the defending champion on points to book his spot in the semi-finals of the competition.

"I enjoyed it. I got drawn in a few times, but I felt really good in there," he told reporters.

Maxwell, who is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal this summer, will face Josh Taylor in the semi-finals on Friday.
