Liu Qiang dominates Australia's Luke Jackson

Australian lightweight Luke Jackson has been sent packing from London 2012 after suffering a heavy 20-7 defeat to China's Liu Qiang.

Jackson delivered a nice body shot with his first attack, which looked to have sent the Chinese fighter down.

However, Liu argued that it was a slip and the referee did not make the count.

Jackson plodded forward with his a high guard up, allowing Liu to fire at will, which he did to open up a three-point lead by the end of the first.

There was no method to the Australian's work, and he could not get near Liu, who stretched his lead to seven points.

Liu stayed out of range in the final round, seemingly content that he had the fight won. Jackson allowed the fight to continue in this fashion and did very little to force the issue.

The Chinese amateur produced a dazzling burst of punches as the third round drew to a close.

The judges scored the bout in his favour by a massive 13-point margin.
