USA women through to Olympic final

The USA are through to the Olympic final of the women's basketball with a hard-fought 86-73 victory over Australia at the North Greenwich Arena.

The Aussies led after both the first and second quarters, but the Americans gave themselves a 65-59 advantage at the end of the third.

The six-time Olympic champions then went into overdrive in the fourth with Elizabeth Cambage top-scoring overall with 19 points.

The USA will now meet either Russia or France in Saturday's final.
