The Brooklyn Nets have forced their playoff series against the Toronto Nets to a seventh game after claiming a 97-83 win in game six.

Knowing that defeat would see them eliminated from the playoffs, the Nets made a fast start to the encounter, opening up a 15-point lead by the end of the first quarter.

Deron Williams overcame an early injury scare to finish the game with 23 points, while Joe Johnson had 17 as the home side led by as much as 26 points.

DeMar DeRozan tried to keep the Raptors in contention, adding 28 to cut Brooklyn's lead late on, but was unable to prevent the defeat.

The deciding game will take place in Toronto on Sunday, with the winner going on to face defending champions the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
