Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant eyes NBA championship

Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant is targeting an NBA championship this season.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant has insisted that his next target is to win an NBA championship.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport during his tour of Europe this month, the 24-year-old was asked what his next ambition was after establishing himself as an NBA star.

"Hopefully a championship," he replied. That's the only thing that's next, we just have to keep working as a team, and do a better job of covering the smaller details of the game.

"I've got a lot to shoulder, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity."

After reaching the NBA finals back in 2012 where the Thunder were defeated by eventual champions Miami Heat, Durant is eager to return after missing out last season.
