Budinger suffers knee injury

Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Chase Budinger has suffered an injury to his left knee.

The 25-year-old sustained the injury to the cartilage in the same knee that required surgery last season which restricted him to 23 appearances.

It has not been announced when Budinger is expected to recover his full fitness, although he will visit Dr James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama early next week for more medical tests.

Budinger signed a three-year contract with the Timberwolves this summer.
