Dwyane Wade was forced to pull out of the Miami Heat's game against the Utah Jazz to be with his son in hospital on Thursday night.
The Heat did not disclose which of Wade's sons had been taken ill or what the problem had been, but the team moved quickly to confirm that he is expected to be given the all-clear in the very near future.
Despite losing a key man, Erik Spoelstra's side were helped by 25 points from Chris Bosh in a 92-91 victory over the Jazz.
Spo after the #HEATwin: "Shoutout to @DwyaneWade and his family. Hopefully they were able to watch this one and enjoy it."
