Klay Thompson confident of playing in game one of NBA Finals

Thompson confident of playing in game one

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has admitted that he expects to be fit for game one of the NBA Finals.

Thompson sustained a concussion in his side's win over the Houston Rockets last week, but has returned to practice after showing no further symptoms of the injury.

The 25-year-old is now confident that he will be fit to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday at Oracle Arena.

When asked how he was feeling, Thompson told ESPN: "About a 9.5. Actually, no, a nine. Couple more days to get completely right, and I expect to be fully healthy and compete on Thursday.

"I'm extremely confident. I'd be very shocked if I didn't [pass], so I'm really confident I will, and like I said, I feel like I'm well on my way there. I can't give you any promises, but I'm as confident as you can be.‎"

The Warriors will be aiming to win their fourth NBA Championship in the Finals against the Cavaliers.
