Evan Turner: 'Kelly Olynyk would never hurt a fellow player'

Boston Celtics guard Evan Turner feels that his teammate Kelly Olynyk would never intentionally hurt another player following his clash with Kevin Love.

The Cleveland Cavaliers forward sustained a dislocated shoulder after tangling with Olynyk in the first quarter of his side's victory at the TD Garden.

Love has claimed that the center injured him intentionally, which Olynyk has denied, and Turner is confident in his teammate's assertions that he would never go out to hurt an opponent.

"Kelly doesn't have a mean bone in his body," Turner told reporters. "And obviously with a star player it looks bad, but Kelly's not that type of dude. K-Love should feel the same type of way because, what is it? A separated shoulder? That's tough, man.

"It might be missing something very important, especially when that guy's been battling for seven to eight years to make it to the playoffs. That's tough as well. But if the league looks into it, they'll do the right job on investigating, but Kelly is not that type of guy."

The Cavaliers reached the Eastern Conference semi-finals as a result of their victory over the Celtics as they clinched a 4-0 sweep in their series.
