Barcelona boss Luis Enrique: 'Usain Bolt is the Lionel Messi of athletics'

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has compared Usain Bolt to Lionel Messi after watching the Jamaican earn a gold medal in the men's 200m final at the World Athletics Championships on Thursday.

The Barca boss said that there are similarities between the athletes as they are each the best within their discipline.

"You could make a good comparison between Messi and Bolt," Enrique told reporters.

"Bolt is the best sprinter of all time and is a brand and I think Messi is the best player of all time."

Bolt beat Justin Gatlin in only the second meeting between the two sprinters over 200m, completing a double over the American following his victory in the 100m final last Sunday.
