Greg Schiano expects Darrelle Revis to be fit for opener

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano expects All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis to be fit to face his old side, the New York Jets, in their season opener.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano has revealed that he expects cornerback Darrelle Revis to be fit for their season opener against the New York Jets.

The 28-year-old has missed the majority of the Buccaneers' pre-season activities as he recovered from a torn ACL sustained last season when he played for the Jets.

Schiano told reporters: "Yes, as I've said all along as long as there are no setbacks, that is the plan."

Tampa Bay traded their 2013 first-round pick along with a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2014 Draft to snag Revis in the off-season.
