Dominik: 'No new Freeman deal in 2013'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik has revealed that the club will not begin discussions over a new deal with quarterback Josh Freeman until the end of the 2013 season.

Freeman is currently in the final year of his rookie deal that he signed when he was drafted in the first round of the 2009 draft.

Dominik told WDAE-AM: "I think there's just a comfort level that everybody understands where Josh Freeman's going.

"Let's focus on this season, and then, we'll go after the season's over."

The 25-year-old has thrown 74 touchdowns in his four seasons in the NFL.
