Rob Ryan joins St Louis Rams

Rob Ryan has agreed to become the new defensive coordinator of the St Louis Rams.

The coach was fired by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month after they recorded just 16 turnovers in the 2012 season and missed out on the playoffs.

Following his dismissal, Ryan, who is the twin brother of New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan, said that he expected to be out of work for "like five minutes".

The Rams led the league in sacks in 2012 with 52, but finished third in the NFC West.
