Jeff Fisher "proud" of St Louis Rams despite defeat

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher insists that he is "proud" of his side despite their 14-9 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks last night.

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has insisted that he is "proud" of his side despite their 14-9 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks last night.

The Rams restricted the Seattle offense to just seven first downs and 135 yards in the entire match and almost pulled off a surprise win when they reached the one-yard line with just seconds to play.

The Seahawks managed to hold out for the narrow victory, but Fisher still believes that his side deserve credit for coming so close to recording an upset.

"I'm proud of our guys. We felt like we had a chance," Fisher told The AP.

The defeat ensures that the Rams remain bottom of the NFC West ahead of Sunday's match against the Tennessee Titans.
