Steve Smith: 'Malcolm Smith seized the moment'

Former New York Giants wide receiver Steve Smith feels that his brother Seattle Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith seized the moment to win the Super Bowl MVP award.

Former New York Giants wide receiver Steve Smith believes that his brother Malcolm seized the moment as he claimed the MVP award in the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl win.

Smith had a crucial interception of Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning he returned for a touchdown that secured the prestigious award for himself, which was the first time a defensive player earned the honour since the 2002 season.

"I just told him to enjoy the moment, go out in pregame and take some pictures because you never know when it could end and you may never be back again," Smith told the New York Post.

"I think he took a lot from my experience and just savoring the moment and knowing it can be done any time, things change in a minute. He really took advantage of his opportunity."

Steve played for the New York Giants in their Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots in the 2007 season.
