Seattle Seahawks comeback downs Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime

Seahawks comeback downs Tampa in overtime

The Seattle Seahawks have overturned a 21-point deficit to earn their eighth win of the season in dramatic fashion, battling back to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-24 in overtime.

Tampa Bay arrived at CenturyLink Field without a victory in seven attempts this year but started strongly, scoring three touchdowns in the second quarter as Tim Wright, Tiquan Underwood and Tom Crabtree all found the end zone.

Seattle reduced the deficit late in the first half as Jermaine Kearse was picked out by Russell Wilson in the end zone, with Marshawn Lynch driving the Seahawks forward from running back.

Wilson found his range in the second half as Seattle roared back into contention, himself scoring before tying the game at 24-all with two minutes left by finding Doug Baldwin for a late score.

With overtime required to settle the match, Steven Hauschka was given the chance to win the match for Seattle, after Lynch had broken free to put the Seahawks into field-goal range.

Hauschka made no mistake with a 27-yard field goal to complete the biggest comeback win in Seahawks franchise history, moving to 8-1 as they maintained a proud home record after a scare from the Bucs.
