Harvin to return to practice this week

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin will return to practice this week after recovering from a hip injury.

Harvin has not featured for the Seahawks since joining the side from the Minnesota Vikings during the off-season, having undergone an operation on a torn labrum on August 1.

The 25-year-old was expected to miss three to four months with the injury, prompting the Seahawks to place him on the physically unable to perform list for the start of the season.

However, Harvin has returned to action quicker than expected and hints that he would be ready in time for Monday's match against the St Louis Rams, although coach Pete Carroll is thought to be keen on easing him back to full fitness.

Seattle now have three weeks to decide whether to take the 2009 Offensive Rookie of the Year off the PUP list and add him to the 53-man active roster.
