Report: San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis fractures hand

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis has fractured his hand during a training session, according to a report.

The 28-year-old injured his right hand when participating in the 49ers' training camp and immediately left their practice facility for an X-ray.

The results of those X-rays revealed a fracture in the hand, which will rule the middle linebacker out of Jim Harbaugh's side's pre-season games, reports ESPN.

Willis has suffered two previous broken hands during his six-year NFL career.
