San Diego Chargers re-sign Darrell Stuckey

The San Diego Chargers re-sign special teams captain Darrell Stuckey on a four-year deal to prevent him from reaching the free-agent market.

The San Diego Chargers have re-signed defensive back Darrell Stuckey on a four-year deal.

The 26-year-old has been with the team since he was selected by them in the 2010 Draft and served as special teams captain in the last campaign.

"It feels good knowing Darrell will be back with us," Chargers general manager Tom Telesco told the club's official website.

"He's proven to be a very valuable member of both our defense and our special teams, as well as a positive influence in the locker room."

Stuckey recorded 23 tackles for the club in the 2013 season.
