Roethlisberger: "I want to finish my career here"

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has revealed that he has no intention of leaving the club.

The 31-year-old reportedly asked for a trade from the team last week following their poor season, but he insists that this talk is nonsense and he wants to remain a Steeler for life.

"First and foremost, I don't want to go anywhere," Roethlisberger told radio station WDVE. "I want to be in Pittsburgh. I hope that's very clear to everybody that I want to stay, my family wants to stay.

"We do not want to ask for a trade, we don't want to go anywhere. I want to finish my career here. I've always said that, and I still feel firmly that way."

Roethlisberger was drafted by the Steelers in 2004 and has won two Super Bowls with the club in the 2005 and 2008 seasons.
