Report: Mike Evans to visit New York Jets

Former Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Mike Evans is poised to meet with the New York Jets ahead of the 2014 NFL Draft, according to a report.

Former Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Mike Evans will visit the New York Jets before the NFL Draft, according to a report.

Evans is widely tipped to be selected in the first round of the upcoming Draft after an impressive year for the Aggies in their 2013 season.

The Jets are looking to bolster their receiving options after adding Eric Decker during free agency and will now run the rule on Evans before deciding if they want to select him with one of their picks in May, reports analyst Tony Pauline.

Evans recorded 69 receptions for 1,394 yards along with 12 touchdowns in the 2013 season.
