Half-Time Report: Ryan Fitzpatrick guides New York Jets into comfortable lead over Miami Dolphins

Fitzpatrick guides Jets into comfortable lead

The New York Jets are holding a 14-0 half-time lead over the Miami Dolphins in their AFC East showdown at the MetLife Stadium.

The Dolphins had success moving the ball early in the contest and progressed into the redzone before Ryan Tannehill committed a huge mistake as he was picked off by Marcus Williams.

New York punished the Dolphins quarterback when Ryan Fitzpatrick lofted the ball over the middle of the field for Brandon Marshall to collect for a 15-yard touchdown to put the hosts ahead.

Miami were unable to put any score on the board before the break as Tannehill struggled for rhythm in his passing game, while Lamar Miller was stifled on the ground.

The Jets extended their advantage in the dying stages of the half when Fitzpatrick found rookie wideout Devin Smith in the endzone for a 16-yard touchdown.
