Jason Pierre-Paul looking to silence critics of two-sack season

Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul says that he is looking to 'get back' the critics who poured scorn on his 2013 season with the New York Giants.

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has revealed that he wants to prove his critics wrong next season.

Paul played much of the year through back pain, which ultimately ended his season early, and NFL followers have been disapproving of a two-sack season.

"I've got something to prove this year, and I want to shut them up," Pierre-Paul told The New York Times, according to the official NFL website.

"A lot of people are doubting me. I know what people have been saying. But it's okay; I'll get them back this year."

Paul is now into the final year of his rookie contract at the Giants.
