Eli Manning: 'I must stop turnovers'

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning admits that he must stop turning the ball over after throwing three more interceptions during his side's defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has admitted that he can play better after seeing his side fall to a fifth consecutive defeat.

The Giants were just one point behind the Eagles in the fourth quarter before three intercepted passes in quick succession from Manning allowed the Eagles to secure a 36-21 win.

The two-time Super Bowl MVP, who has now thrown more interceptions than anyone else in the league this season with 12, admits that he needed to cut that trait out of his game.

"I know I can play better. Sometimes in a game, things are going to go wrong and you have to make the best decision, whatever that is, throw it away, take a sack. But I know I can't keep turning the ball over," Manning told reporters.

Meanwhile, Giants coach Tom Coughlin heaped a large part of the blame for the latest defeat on the shoulders of Manning after seeing his side fall to 0-5 for the season.
