Chris Ogbonnaya announces retirement from NFL

NFL running back Chris Ogbonnaya has announced his retirement from football.

Ogbonnaya spent six years in the sport before deciding to call it a day as a free agent this off-season.

The 29-year-old last represented the New York Giants, but was released by Tom Coughlin's outfit in May.

Ogbonnaya began his NFL career at the St Louis Rams, who brought him in as a seventh-round Draft pick in 2009.
