New Orleans Saints' Andrus Peat determined to win starting role

New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Andrus Peat has revealed that he is prepared to do whatever it takes to start for the club in his rookie season.

The Saints selected Peat with the 13th-overall pick in the 2015 Draft, and he was expected to become one of the NFC South side's starting tackles for the 2015 campaign.

However, Peat has been unable to dislodge Zach Strief for the starting role so far during the club's practice sessions, but he is determined to win a place in the lineup before the start of the season.

"As a competitor you always want to start," Peat told NFL Network. "I'm going to do whatever my coach asks me to do, so whatever role he sees me playing I'm going to do that."

The Saints face the Arizona Cardinals in their 2015 season opener.
