Jimmy Graham reveals franchise tag placement

New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham admits that the club's franchise tag has been placed on him keeping him under contract for the 2014 season.

New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham has revealed that he has been given the franchise tag by his club, keeping him under contract for another season.

The 27-year-old's deal with the club was due to expire when the current league year ends in March, but by placing the tag on the All-Pro the Saints can keep him for another season at a price of around $6m (£3.5m).

Graham wrote on Twitter: "Confirming it's officially Franchisefriday... TAG ... I guess I'm it..."

The tight end had admitted that he wouldn't be pleased to be designated with the tag.
