New England Patriots announce Travaris Cadet signing

The New England Patriots have confirmed that they have signed running back Travaris Cadet.

The 26-year-old was allowed to leave the New Orleans Saints at the end of the 2014 season after three years at the club.

The Patriots moved to sign Cadet on a two-year deal as they seek to find a replacement for Shane Vereen, who joined the New York Giants.

The running back recorded 328 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown for the Saints in 2014 season.
