Half-Time Report: Minnesota Vikings edge ahead against Buffalo Bills

Vikings edge ahead against Bills

The Minnesota Vikings hold a narrow lead over the Buffalo Bills at hall time in their NFL clash following a closely-fought first half this evening.

There were few points-scoring chances in the first quarter, with only a field goal from Blair Walsh splitting the teams at the end of the opening 15 minutes.

Quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater and Kyle Orton had problems keeping possession of the football in the second, with both throwing an interception to give their opponents a turnover.

The Bills capitalised on Bridgewater's error, allowing Orton to find rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins for a touchdown, giving the home side the lead.

Minnesota hit back when Orton threw an interception on the next drive, setting up Bridgewater to find Cordarrelle Patterson after a big gain from Greg Jennings.

Walsh added another field goal moments before half time, leaving Minnesota with a three-point lead at the break.
