Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito has apologised to team owner Stephen Ross and NFL investigator Ted Wells for his involvement in a bullying scandal.

Wells released his findings last week following a lengthy investigation that eventually ruled that Incognito had harassed and verbally abused teammate Jonathan Martin.

The 30-year-old, who questioned the report when it initially came out, has since tweeted an apology to Martin and followed that up with one addressed to both Ross and Wells.

Ross has previously admitted that neither Incognito nor Martin is likely to return to the team, with the former due to become a free agent next month.
