Richie Incognito apologises to "brother" Jonathan Martin

Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito apologises to Jonathan Martin after an independent NFL report ruled that he had harassed and verbally abused his teammate.

Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito has apologised to his teammate Jonathan Martin for the bullying scandal that has rocked the team this season.

An independent NFL report found that Incognito and two other players regularly harassed and verbally abused Martin to the point that he contemplated suicide.

"I would like to send Jonathan my apologies as well. Until someone tells me different you are still my brother. No hard feelings," Incognito wrote on Twitter.

"There are no winners in the courts. Just families left to deal with their decisions and pick up the pieces. You can't free something. We're all born free."

Incognito is due to become a free agent in March having been suspended by the Dolphins since November.
