Jay Ajayi placed on IR-return list by Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have put running back Jay Ajayi on their injured reserve return list.

The London-born player was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 Draft by the AFC East side, but sustained broken ribs during pre-season.

Joe Philbin's men have taken the decision to place Ajayi on their IR-return list, which will keep him out of action for the first half of the campaign.

The Dolphins open their season against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
