Derrick Johnson: 'Jamaal Charles hit felt good'

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson admits that his big hit on his teammate Jamaal Charles during Sunday's Pro Bowl "felt pretty good".

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson has admitted that his hit on his teammate Jamaal Charles during Sunday's Pro Bowl "felt pretty good".

Johnson produced a big high tackle on Charles during the first half of the match, appearing to lower his shoulder into the running back's upper body and head area.

Charles admitted that he wasn't expecting such a big hit from his teammate, but refused to get angry at Johnson, who seemed to be revelling in the moment later that night.

"Have to give my fellow teammate some friendly fire. LOL! I can't lie, it felt pretty good! #probowl," Johnson wrote on Twitter.

"Loved competing against the best back in the league who I just happened to be teammates with."

Johnson was named as the defensive MVP for Team Rice, who beat Team Sanders 22-21 in a new format for the match, which saw two rosters drafted rather than AFC vs. NFC.
