Mike Adams: 'Indianapolis Colts didn't get enough credit for Denver Broncos win'

Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams claims that the media focused more on Peyton Manning's injury than his side's good play in their playoff win over the Denver Broncos.

Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams feels that he and his defensive teammates were not given enough credit for limiting Peyton Manning in their playoff win over the Denver Broncos.

The Colts claimed the victory at Sports Authority Field as they held the high-powered Broncos offense to just 13 points to advance to the AFC championship game as Manning struggled throughout the contest.

However, reports after the game suggested that the 39-year-old played with a torn quadriceps, which Adams believes took away from the accomplishment of his team.

He told NFL Network: "I remember how well we played as a defense. A lot of the media talk was taking away from how well the defense played, and saying he was hurt, and this and that.

"But I think it was us. I think it was the defense and we went out there and executed our gameplan.

"Their game is about timing. That's what they do, it's all based off timing and we disrupted that. We got in his face and we did things that made him feel uncomfortable."

The Colts' season came to an end in the next round of the post-season when they were hammered 45-7 by the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game.
