O'Brien laments "inconsistent" offense

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien has lamented "inconsistent" play by his side's offense in their defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Texans slipped to their fifth loss of the campaign as they scored 14 points on offense, as quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick found life difficult to move the ball against the Eagles, despite the visitors' injury problems.

"It's too inconsistent," O'Brien told reporters. "It's just way too inconsistent and it has to get better.

"I've got to figure it out with the coaching staff and it's just too inconsistent. We've got to figure out what type of spark we need, maybe it's schematic, maybe it's something else, I don't know."

The Texans are 4-5 in their campaign as they head into their bye week.
