Aaron Rodgers hails "extremely talented" Richard Sherman

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers admits that he would "love" to have Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman on his team.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has heaped praise on Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

Sherman made headlines for the wrong reasons following Seattle's NFC championship win over the San Francisco 49ers last month, embarking on a post-match tirade against 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree.

However, he later apologised for his actions before helping the Seahawks to success in the Super Bowl on Sunday, and Rodgers admitted that he would love to have him at the Packers.

"I'm just going to say that I'd love to have Richard Sherman on my team. He's a supremely talented player. He brings a swagger to the field," Rodgers told ESPN.

"It's emotional when you're in those moments after you've won a big time game and he made the play of the game, his tip to his teammate for the interception.

"He's a talented guy. He did a great job in the two weeks between that moment and the Super Bowl of letting people see the kind of person he is."

Rodgers also had kind words to say about the Seahawks defense as a whole, but admitted that it would be "unrealistic" to expect other teams to be able to copy their style.
