Darius Slay to miss Philadelphia Eagles clash

Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay will miss the team's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a torn meniscus.

The Detroit Lions have ruled Darius Slay out of their NFL game with the Philadelphia Eagles later today with a knee injury.

The rookie cornerback was listed as doubtful for the clash after tearing his meniscus in practice last week.

The NFC North side have promoted Chris Greenwood from their practice squad to fill in for the 22-year-old.

Slay has made 30 tackles for the Lions so far this season.
