Peyton Manning: 'Injured players will be like new signings'

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning believes that the club will be boosted in the 2014 season by the return of players who missed the majority of the last campaign.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning believes that getting key players back from injury will feel like new signings for the club heading into the 2014 season.

The Broncos played for the majority of last season without left tackle Ryan Clady, while on the defensive side of the ball they lost Von Miller, Derek Wolfe and Chris Harris before they were defeated in the Super Bowl.

Manning told reporters: "It's almost like Ryan Clady was a free-agent acquisition. He didn't play last year. Von Miller is like a new player, and Derek Wolfe.

"It will be nice to get some of the guys that were injured and get them back on the field to go along with some of the new players that we've added. I'm looking forward to going to work with them."

Denver have also added Aqib Talib, DeMarcus Ware, TJ Ward and Emmanuel Sanders to their side for the next campaign.
