Stephen Jones: 'More significant playing time for Brian Waters'

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones believes that new recruit Brian Waters will feature on a number of plays for the team this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones has revealed that he thinks guard Brian Waters could be called on for more snaps during the game with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Waters spent 11 years with the Chiefs before a year with the New England Patriots, from whom he signed for Dallas two weeks back.

Jones is confident that the veteran will make his debut against his former franchise, having watched Waters share first-team snaps this week with Mackenzy Bernadeau.

In a radio interview with The Fan on Friday, Jones said: "Brian is a very strong individual and he's one of those guys that is timeless.

"He's stepped right out there and done some amazing things already for a guy who wasn't on the field last year and obviously he didn't have an offseason or a training camp.

"I think it's pretty amazing that he's going to be able to step in and really contribute. I don't know if he'll play the whole game, but I think he's going to start to get a lot of snaps in this game."

Waters has 179 NFL appearances to his name to date.
