Tony Romo: 'We must improve in all areas'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo admits that his side need to improve "in all facets" following their 49-17 defeat to the New Orleans Saints yesterday.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has admitted that his side need to improve "in all facets" of their game.

The Cowboys fell to 5-5 for the season courtesy of a 49-17 drubbing at the hands of the New Orleans Saints yesterday, a result that leaves them with the fifth worst defence in the NFL.

The offense also struggled throughout the match, with Romo throwing for just 128 yards and being sacked three times, and the 33-year-old admitted that he found it "difficult" to breach the Saints defence.

"We have to play better football than this in all facets. We have to figure out what we can do to be a better football team because that obviously was not good enough," Romo told The AP.

"It was just difficult. They are a good team. Give them credit. They beat us today. It wasn't a fun game."

The defeat leaves the Cowboys tied at the top of the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.
