Bengals brush aside Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals have recorded their first win of the season tonight with a 20-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, condemning their AFC North rivals to 0-2 early in the season.

Shaun Suisham got the Steelers on the board inside five minutes with a 44-yard field goal, but the Bengals recovered to make a big breakthrough late in the first quarter.

Giovani Bernard was the man who drove over with pace and power from seven yards, with the Bengals making the most of a fumble from Steelers tight end David Paulson.

Back came the Steelers at the other end to level just before half time as Ben Roethlisberger found his range on a 65-yard drive, with Derek Moye finishing the job from close range.

With the scores locked at 10-10 Cincinnati were the side who seized the initiative though Bernard, who after being picked out by Andy Dalton scored his second of the match in style, a 27-yard burst past three defenders into the endzone.

Mike Nugent's trusty boot put the Bengals 10 points clear late on, with Reggie Nelson claiming a huge interception late in the fourth quarter to effectively secure an impressive home win.
