Cincinnati Bengals have too much for San Diego Chargers

Chargers fall to Bengals defeat

The Cincinnati Bengals have beaten the San Diego Chargers in their NFL clash at the Qualcomm Stadium.

In a relatively tame first quarter, neither side were able to find the endzone. The Bengals went 7-0 ahead when Benjarvus Green-Ellis completed a four-yard run and Mike Nugent kicked the extra at the start of the second quarter.

However, San Diego responded when Ladarius Green's 30-yard run resulted in a touchdown from a Philip Rivers pass. Nick Novak levelled the score with his kick.

Neither side could take the advantage as the match reached half time.

A.J. Green got Cincinnati's second touchdown of the match as his side upped the ante in the third quarter.

Again Nugent's kicking was in good shape and he found success with a 46-yard field goal to extend the advantage.

The Chargers did get a late field goal through Novak, but it was not enough.
