San Diego Chargers blow Cincinnati Bengals away

The San Diego Chargers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 in tonight's wildcard round at Paul Brown Stadium.

The San Diego Chargers have beaten the Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 at Paul Brown Stadium to advance to the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

Danny Woodhead burst over the line from five yards to give the Chargers the lead with 48 seconds remaining in the first quarter, but the Bengals hit back through Jermaine Gresham in the second.

Mike Nugent nailed a 46-yard field goal to put Marvin Lewis's side 10-7 ahead moments before half time.

However, the visitors seized the initiative in the third quarter and did not let go.

Ladarius Green did well to catch Philip Rivers's high pass and get his feet down for the score, before Nick Novak added six more points with the boot.

The game was up for the Bengals when Ronnie Brown sprinted 58 yards into the endzone with just over two minutes remaining.
