Cincinnati Bengals confirm Shawn Powell signing

The Cincinnati Bengals announce that they have signed free agent punter Shawn Powell to replace Kevin Huber, who was placed on injured reserve.

The Cincinnati Bengals have confirmed the signing of free agent punter Shawn Powell.

The 25-year-old was available following his release by the Buffalo Bills earlier in the season following a poor performance against the Cleveland Browns.

Powell was needed on Marvin Lewis's side's 53-man roster after Kevin Huber was ruled out for the season with a fractured jaw he sustained in the Bengals' defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cincinnati are 9-5 in their season after week 15.
