Buffalo Bills end Jacksonville Jaguars revival

Bills end Jaguars revival

The Buffalo Bills have put an end to the Jacksonville Jaguars' three-match winning streak with a 27-20 victory at the EverBank Field.

Both sides were limited to field goals in the opening quarter, with Dan Carpenter putting the Bills in the lead early on with a 42-yard kick, before Josh Scobee levelled things up again from 32 yards.

The Jaguars took the lead on the first play of the second quarter as Chad Henne threw a short pass to Ace Sanders, who sped down the touchline past two defenders for a 12-yard touchdown.

Buffalo responded midway through the quarter when EJ Manuel found Robert Woods, who stretched over the line to complete a seven-yard score.

Manuel was heavily involved in the next big play too, sprinting up the middle and taking advantage of some good blocking to run in for an eight-yard touchdown of his own.

Carpenter added a field goal in the dying seconds of the first half to open up a 10-point gap at the break, but Scobee reduced the deficit back to seven in the third quarter with a mammoth 55-yard kick.

Jacksonville levelled things up once again early in the fourth quarter when Henne threw a short pass to Marcedes Lewis, who had a clean run into the endzone for a 13-yard score.

The Bills moved back into the lead with 9:40 left of the match when Manuel fired a quick pass to Frank Summers on the left of the endzone for a one-yard touchdown.

That was how it stayed for the remainder of the match as the Jaguars fell to 4-10 for the season, while the Bills improved to 5-9.
