Wingo: 'I'm ready when called upon'

Buffalo Bills running back Ronnie Wingo has revealed that he is looking forward to being given his opportunity to run with the football for the club.

The Bills coach Doug Marrone has said that Wingo will be given minutes in the offense and the player, although "nervous", is confident that he has what it takes to play in the NFL.

"It makes me feel really good," he told the club's official website. "Everybody wants to play, but being undrafted, it's a process. Now I've just got to take advantage of the opportunity and not look back.

"I feel like I'll have the same role that [released veteran] Tashard Choice did, unless something happens, then I may have a greater role, so I just have to be ready at all times.

"I feel like I should be good. I just have to calm down, not be anxious and nervous, and just play ball. It's something I've been doing my whole life. I mean it's human nature to have some nerves."

Wingo was recruited by the Bills in early September as an undrafted rookie.
