Atlanta Falcons activate Sean Weatherspoon to roster

The Atlanta Falcons have confirmed that they have activated Sean Weatherspoon to their roster and have placed offensive lineman Sam Baker on injured reserve.

Weatherspoon has returned to his side's active roster after being placed on IR return when he sustained a foot injury earlier in the season.

The 25-year-old will take the place of Baker, who has been placed on IR due to a knee injury he has struggled with this season. He will now require surgery, so the team chose to end his campaign early.

Mike Smith's side are 2-7 in their season.
